I did something very very dumb, I trimmed my eyelashes and now I’m crying :( . I found your blog with the hopes of finding a quick fix….I’m desperate, but relieved to know that my eyelashes will grow back. Though not fast enough for my liking. Anyone reading this Please don’t make the same mistake and ruin the eyelashes you have. You will regret it…

      Hi sohbet
Oh No! You didn’t do such a thing, did you? There is no fast fix for cut eyelashes. You will have to wait the growing time out, till they even out. Valuable lessen to be learned here…..Do not cut / trim your eyelashes. If for some reason you think they need to be trimmed / cut / shaped, please go to a specialist.

      Best of luck to you.

      Hello moncler,
Most important thing…clean any eyelash product off your lashes each and every night. Simple to do and adds up to major prevention of lash loss. Plus give your eyelashes a break every so often from mascara type products, let’em breath.

      Thank you for visiting.

      Hi mascara,
      Thank you for your comment.
You may want to make sure to remove all makeup before bedtime. I know sometimes it’s a pain, but it needs to be done, you have to find time to do it. We all get lazy here and there :)

Yes your eyelashes will grow back, but you also have to do your part to help keep those lashes long, thick and healthy.

      Hello Adele,
Sorry you are upset right now :(
Yes eyelashes do grow back, just have to have some patience. Lashes are not the fastest growing hairs. I hope you can get that picking under control, or it turns into a unhappy cycle of eyelash loss.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, nice to have you visiting… :)

      Hi estefani,
Just like wearing fake nails, the real nails underneath tend to be thin and weak. Remove and groom them…..they will grow back. :)

I woke up in the middle of the night yesterday and my eye was hurting. I thought it may have had something to do with my eyelashes and I tugged on a few of them and they came about. My mother told me that they don’t grow back and I was freaking out until I stumbled upon this website while surfing the net. I am so relieved to know that they do actually grow back, unfortunatly much slower then I had hoped. Any tips?

      Hi accident
They will grow, I’m sure of it, just give it time.
Next time more attention is needed when using an eyelash curler. Here are a few that will prevent eyelash loss.
      1. Clean curler
      2. Curl before applying mascara
      3. Warm eyelash curler slightly with blow dryer before using
      4. Pull eyelash curler away from eyes very slowly each time

These are basic tips to remember, but easily forgotten when one is in a hurry while beautifying. Hahaha beautifying, is that even a word??

Thank you for your taken the time to write in :)

I’ve been using mascara for over a year now and never had this problem before, i’m scared that my eye lashes wont grow back! I’ve been using this eye makeup remover and from that time my eyelashes keep falling out, they still sadly are, isit true vaseline helps your eye lashes? can i use vaseline as my eye makeup remover? Please help and give me some tips and I cant stop using mascara because at school i always use it and it’ll be very awkward if i came here without makeup. hope you’ll understand

    Thank you :)

      Hi Tanya
First don’t worry yourself, eyelashes will grow back. Yes, Vaseline is wonderful for your eyelashes, it aids in keeping the lashes moist and brittle free. As you are experiencing makeup remover tends to be harsh. May I ask, what kind of makeup remover are you using?

Here are a couple suggestions to try in helping remove eyelash mascara, in addition to Vaseline.
      1. Baby oil
      2. Olive oil

Just dab a small amount on a cotton ball and gently wipe away the mascara. Your eyelashes will love you for it :)

Thank you so much for the reply :D I’ve been using this

‘Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing eye make-up remover’

it’s in a blue bottle, i stopped using it and then went to boots and bought this
‘Johnson’s face care gentle eye make-up remover’

this also made me eyelashes fall out a lot, it has a pink lid… Also, I bought this purple ‘Maybelline the falsies volum’ express mascara’ couple of months ago and from that time my eyelashes started to fall out a lot so i stopped using it and i typed in ‘why do eyelashes fall out?’ on youtube and can across this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fb32f24mLRQ now i agree with this video and stopped using it right away because my eye lashes fell out from the mascara as well. I bought this other Mascara called ‘VolumeFlash Scandaleyes Mascara Rimmel London’ and it didn’t help. Bought another mascara called ‘False Lash Effect MaxFactor mascara’ it’s black and purple and it also didn’t work… It seems to be a good mascara but i used it like twice and nothing helped my eyelashes still fell out I went back to my old Mascara called ‘Volume Flash The Max Bold Curves Rimmel London’ its green and a bit pink and so i’m using this one for a couple of days now and less fall out but they still fall out, i stopped using eye make-up remover and now kind of started to use Vaseline but i dont really know how to apply it and if it really will work because i tried removing my mascara with vaseline and it barely came off and 2 of my lashes fell out and today i washed my whole face with my face-wash then used these ‘Garnier Skin Naturals Soft Essentials Rose extract + Vitamin E Vitamin-enriched cleaning wipes Remove make-up and hydrate’ it’s pink and a bit white, i’ve started using that yesterday but what i mostly would like to know is if im using the right mascara and how do you actually remove mascara because the way i remove it, my eyelashes always tend to fall out for some reason. i lost a lot of my lashes and i really hope they grow back as soon as possible :’(
